The Eclipses happened. Now what?

We have made it through another crucible of change. The last month of eclipses certainly stirred up a lot of old controversies, new ideas, harrowing challenges, and old stories ready to patched and re-imagined. Whether it was a catastrophe or an epiphany, it's a big deal whenever we encounter these potentials for change. Sometimes, we need a lot of help to integrate or understand the ways we are being asked to change.

On October 9, Mercury will transition out of its retrograde period and begin moving forward again - a signal to us to implement the lessons of the past month and take the initiative to live in deeper commitment to what we love. The New Moon in Libra will occur on October 12, coinciding with a particularly contentious national holiday here in the United States.

This holiday, called Columbus Day, has ignored the tragedy of genocide, slavery, and oppression which began when Columbus landed in the so-called new world. In many parts of the country, people are demanding that this day be changed into a recognition of the people who had lived here for thousands of years before European colonial powers entered the scene. Renaming this day Indigenous People' Day in 1977, major US cities and states have finally begun to officially adopt this name in recent years. Let this be an example of how we can take something broken and tragic, and weave it into something to give us hope for a more just and beautiful future.

May you find the ways to support yourself in weaving a new story, embarking on the path that's an authentic expression of yourself.

Blessings, Christina
