November 2015: Full Moon in Taurus

It's Scorpio season, which means time to dive deep into the realm of mystery, the unknown, and the unseen. What has been emerging from the depths in your life?

Many of us witches are getting ready to celebrate Samhain, which is a time to honor our beloved dead. This festival is a time to remember what has gone before us and to make ourselves into good ancestors for the future ones. It is a time of reflection, magic, and purification.

I have been rolling around in my own darkness for a few months now. What good is it? Do I have a choice? Why is the light supposedly so much cooler than the dark? For these and other questions, read my current forecast. (Notice how I didn't say there would be answers.)

The Full Moon in Taurus is a time to illuminate the connections that bind life/death, pleasure/suffering, fertility/scarcity. Here's hoping you get to luxuriate in the full spectrum of experiences. No really. Get some peanut butter in your chocolate, some chocolate in your peanut butter. Or, more eloquently, as Rilke wrote, "Let everything happen to you: beauty, terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final."

Full Moon in Taurus

October 27 at 3 degrees. "The Pot Of Gold At The End Of The Rainbow." You never know what you may find. Perhaps some kick-ass roller skates like this cartoon guy.

New Moon in Scorpio November 11 at 19 degrees. "A Parrot Repeats The Conversation He Has Overheard."

Perhaps this symbols is reminding us of the danger of spreading rumors. There's an interesting Buddhist practice in which you only talk about people who are present in the room, refraining from speaking about those not present. Think about it.

Many blessings.
