Where Astrology Ends?

What is my personal aim in astrology? I feel obliged to make it clear. Usually people who study astrology think about mastering the art of prediction. Their device is: "I want to know as much for future as possible and, the best, everything!" There were (or are) as well some very ambitious and at the same time suspicious people who want to ascertain stable fundamentals of astrology: Michel Gauquelin (born 1928-11-13, 22:15 UT at 48^58'N 2^27'E) was the most eminent of them. My aim lies in a midway between the two: it consists in determining the area of competence of astrology. My biggest question is: "Where astrology has its ends?" Or: what is to be predicted by means of astrology, and what is not?

For it is obvious that astrology is not able to predict ALL the future.

I think that this kind of "absolute prediction" is a DRIVING MYTH of astrology - since antiquity. What kind of myth I think about? Their very similar myths had e.g. classical mechanics (that was a myth of an absolute determinism as resulted from Langrange equations) or cybernetics (its myth consisted in a dream of artificially constructing human-like conscious mind).

But there is a number of very evident FACTS testifying that a big area of life is not to be predicted, by means of astrology or others.

Examples:

(1) There live people born at almost the same time; so their curricula vitae should be very similar. E.g. once I studied biophysics. This was very specialised direction at universities and there were only two classes of biophysics in Poland, in Warsaw and in Cracow, and my Warsaw group counted 7 people only. Nobody was born at the same day as me. If it were otherwise, it would be a sensation! Similarly, now I am the only Polish astrologer born in my day.

In 1980, Polish revolution of that time started with a peculiar event: Lech Walesa, the prospective leader of Polish "Solidarity" trade union and president of the nation, jumped over the shipyard fence in order to take control over the strike. Statistics tells us that there was about twenty people (or ten men...) with their natal charts as similar to that of Walesa as an astrologer was able to discern. But then Walesa was alone, not in a middle of a crew of 10 young men with characteristic moustaches born in the same 10 minutes. Similarly, there was only ONE Albert Einstein, ONE Marylin Monroe, ONE President Reagan and so on - billions times. Cases of similarity in birth time and c.v. are very rare - they are true sensations.

What a conclusion? Natal chart cannot include a complete information of an individual's life.

More arguments:

(2) One cannot determine, by means of astrology, whether a person born at a given time is a man or a woman.

(3) It's also impossible to determine whether a person is Black or Caucasian;

(4) Whether he/she comes from a family of a worker or from aristocracy.

(5) Let us think about rules astrology established on how to predict the death of an individual. The rules - as a rules themselves - cannot change during centuries and from a country to another. Average movements of planets are also uniform during epochs. But people in different epochs lived differently long - less than 30 years on an average in ancient Egypt or in 19-century India, and more than 80 years in today West. In Finland people live especially long - and some kilometers east, in Russia, an average length of live is about 50. Do try to find a configuration of stars who produce such an effect!

(6) Very similarly, rules predicting giving births of women are historically and geographically dependant. In the generation of my fathers a number of five or seven children in a family was normal; in the generation of my children - one or two. Compare, as well, present-time Africa or Southern America to (extincting) Europe.

(7) Next question is that of people sharing a similar fate - i.e. dying in a battle or in an airplain accident. Had they every time similar horoscopes? (Arguments of this kind were formulated as early as by Lucius Seneca.)

So if a part only of our lives and personalities is to determine by astrology, our task is to find the edges where astrology ends and outside of them remains not competent.
